The Hive DGO is a nonprofit youth community hub in Durango that runs a nine-week summer day program for kids roughly ages 8-16. Its Wild Hive Day Camp offers outdoor trips and exploration, skateboarding lessons (the Hive has an indoor skate park), and art and music workshops focused on self-expression. The organization serves under-resourced youth and provides full or partial scholarships to most participants.

★Simon GonzalezThis place blows! They restrict anyone who isn’t homosexual or trans on specific nights. For a group that preaches as well as advocates for inclusivity and diversity, they treated me and my friends incredibly poorly on these “gay nights” or “trans nights”. And after we claimed that we identified as such they had no respect for it. Laughed in our face and kicked us out. So tired of this LGBTQ community constantly feening to be included and as soon as the door is open they want to discard anyone who isn’t like them. Skating isn’t just for gay people on certain nights, it’s for everyone every day! Do better. Would also like to let it be known that I have many gay friends equally as pissed off about this bull crap.
