The women that run this art league discriminated against my artwork last week... they told me that my artwork was poor man's paintings and it wasn't worthy of hanging on their walls inside their Art Gallery. No matter how much money I had in my pocket. I have a unique way of creating my artwork, and I was told that my artwork looks scary and demonic, and it might bring bad energy to the Art Gallery. Outside, they have a sign that says ((support local artists)) No matter what type of artwork you create on canvas, whether you are a splatter painter, you do stripes, circles and squares or you spin the paint on a machine and not a drill gun.. there is a vision in my head that I see before I put the paint to the canvas. So why isn't that considered art? I was told that if it's not stroked on the canvas with a brush, it's not considered art. So like I said, I was discriminated on and my artwork was disrespected and my feelings were definitely hurt. I'll find another art league that will appreciate the work that I do.

I've taken the stained glass class twice now. The instructor Kathy, is very knowledgeable and a very nice person. I just finished the hand building pottery class. Ezra was the instructor and she was amazing and talented. Very knowledgeable and a sweet person. We learned numerous techniques for building pottery but more importantly, we learned the properties of clay. What it will and won't do. We learned so much and had a great time, as well.

Wonderful, eelcoming resource for the Dover area! Spacious, well-presented gallery highlighting local artists (I've bought great pieces here!) in a historic building. Classes for those who want to learn painting, pottery, Cricut, etc., and spaces to create your own masterpieces. Staff is friendly and helpful. I love it here!

I had an incredible time at the Dover Art League! I was amazed by the diverse range of art on display, and I was particularly drawn to scratchboard art. The artist's intricate designs and use of light and shadow were truly captivating, and I had never seen this technique before. The gallery was clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, I highly recommend the Dover Art League to anyone who is interested in art. It is a great place to learn, explore, and be inspired.

The choices are great. I loved learning how to make a beautiful stained glass art piece. It was so nice, I took the class again and made something different. I look forward to taking more classes of all kinds.
