The CORE is the City of Coppell's recreation center, with a fitness center, gymnasium, indoor and outdoor pools and classroom space. It hosts the city's summer youth programming, including Camp Do It All (Camp DIA) and a Summer Recreation Program run at The CORE and on Coppell ISD campuses. Registration is online through CoppellActivities.com or by phone through the recreation center, which also publishes a seasonal activity guide of youth events and classes.

★Robert Mark Corey CooperI'm just wondering IF and WHEN the issue of all these kids coming into the Gym area is ever going to be addressed.....can the age limit please be raised to age 16 (????) They have NO respect for other members, zero Gym etiquette.....and, they have NO IDEA what they're even doing 😡😡 I guess it's only a matter time before one of them gets seriously injured before the incompetent Management finally does something. It's pretty much time to find a different Gym altogether.
★M BMy interaction during my recent visit was not a pleasant experience. The staff member I encountered (John) was not welcoming, and his demeanor came across as dismissive in a way that felt uncomfortable and inappropriate. I’ve heard comments in passing about how certain people are treated at the CORE, but since this was my first visit, I chose to give the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, the experience confirmed those concerns. When I arrived with my grandson to swim, we were stared at from the moment we entered and treated as though we did not belong in the facility. It left us both feeling out of place and unwelcome. With everything happening in the world, kindness and respect should be the standard. I believe the staff at the CORE should reflect the values in the facility’s mission statement and ensure that all visitors are treated with professionalism and inclusivity. If this is the norm for how guests are treated, it raises the question of whether this should truly be considered a public facility.

★★★★toxfrot 2the staff there is friendly. rebecca is kind and always has a welcoming smile. facilities are nice and well kept. leaving 4 stars bc there is a real bad problem with people using their phones. no one does a thing about it. i even saw a lady standing on the sides of a treadmill as it was running and just be on her tablet. would really want someone to ask her to stop and get off the thing if she isn't gonna use it, similarly to other gym goers.
