Powered by GoogleThis theater is so nice. So easy to find, there's a professional and peaceful ambience throughout. The seating is comfortable and the stage design is always jaw-dropping. The sound quality was at just the right level. I've seen two shows here, Edward Tulane and Miss Bennett's Christmas at Pemberly and both were well done with an engaging and entertaining cast. Nice clean, private bathrooms were nice amenities and the overall theater experience was wonderful. Thanks for a great night.
Today was the first of hopefully many visits to this unique theater. The show: “Time Stands Still” by Donald Margulies The venue: I wasn’t aware that the venue was a revamped church. My first thought upon arriving was, “did I put in the right address? “ It really makes for a neat and intimate space to see shows. Concessions: They do sell sodas and water for your enjoyment. No food: as to be expected. The tech: The show I came to see was not a tech heavy show, but the lighting was done masterfully and not a single sound cue was missed. The seating: Standard cloth chairs, not super comfortable, but enough to sit through the show without complaint. The stage: It is certainly a small stage but being so close to the action really made the show feel so much more real. The crew: There were many friendly faces that greeted me as I came in and assisted me with anything I asked for. They even offer a blanket for those who get cold easier. The Playbill: I truly wasn’t expecting a playbill of this quality. Well done and full of great information. The show: Beautifully executed. A power show needs strong actors, and they absolutely delivered tonight! I have seen many many many shows on stages all over. The commanded the stage like it was on broadway. My expectations were far surpassed. Bravo! I look forward to coming back to see more shows here and must say it is a very nice addition to the community! I can’t say enough good about my experience here today. Thank you Coverdale Playhouse.
Walk up Wednesday!!! What a unique way to give back! Just watched a unique rendition of Alice in Wonderland. Ticket sales tonight were by donation only with proceeds going to the Alabama Writers Foundation.
I attended my first improv show. Didn't expect the free drinks along with the ticket. Had a great time. Certainly something different to do in Montgomery.
Had a fantastic time! Outdoor performance went well; very creative use of the space and environment to create a sort of interactive stage, big efforts made to keep its patrons safe and distant while still having an enjoyable experience, and amazing cast and crew that put on an emotional and powerful show
