Like many parents, I was nervous about sending my baby out into the world for the first time—but I also knew that early childcare education and care is an important investment, which made choosing the right place even more important. From the moment we joined, I saw how much my three-year-old grew in such a short time. She not only learned her alphabet, but also began recognizing numbers and letters, grasping concepts beyond her age, improving her listening skills, and following directions more independently. She was consistently engaged and excited about learning. Beyond academics, what truly stands out is the sense of community. From the teachers to the directors and support staff, everyone genuinely cares. When my daughter faced some medical challenges, the support we received meant everything—they showed compassion, flexibility, and a true commitment to making sure she didn’t miss a beat. I also deeply appreciate the cleanliness and the safe, welcoming environment they maintain every day. It gives me peace of mind knowing my child is not only learning, but also cared for so thoughtfully.
Childcare is expensive, we know that! And when entrusting the care of your child to someone else, so that you can work and provide for your family, it can be nerve racking. But I can say that we’ve had a good experience at the Rumford location. Our daughter has been going to this daycare since she was an infant and she is now almost in Pre-K. The staff is amazing, communicative, competent, patient, accommodating and caring. Our child really loves it here and she has learned so much. She speaks well, and could count 1-10 in English and Spanish by the time she was 18 months old. We dont regret choosing this location. The director Miss Jess is amazing, and so is her team and the teachers my child has had in the infant and toddler classrooms.
Enrolling my daughter in daycare was one of the most hardest and most emotional decisions I’ve ever had to make as a mama. I remember all the nerves, worries, and the constant questions wondering how she would adjust and how I would handle being away from her. It took so much trust to finally take that step. I toured so many places, but nothing felt right until we found TCW. From the very beginning, TCW eased so many of those fears. The staff are incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming. They gave my daughter the space to grow, to adjust, and to feel safe at her own pace. There was never any rush just gentle care, love, and understanding every single day. She started here at just 18 months old… and now she’s about to graduate pre-k. Watching her grow, learn, make friends, and truly love going somewhere every day it’s been everything I could’ve hoped for and more. TCW will always hold such a special in my heart. They are my village. 🤍
We couldn’t be happier with the The Children's Workshop and the Rumford team. From the very beginning, the staff has been warm, attentive, and genuinely caring toward our toddler. It’s clear that they truly love what they do, and that shows in the way they interact with the kids every day. Our child is always excited to go in the morning and comes home happy, which gives us so much peace of mind as parents. We’ve seen real growth in their social skills, confidence, and overall development since starting here. The environment is clean, safe, and full of engaging activities that keep the kids learning and having fun. Communication with parents has also been excellent—we always feel informed and included. We are incredibly grateful to have found such a nurturing and supportive place for our child. Highly recommend to any family looking for quality care!
Both of my children go to Rumford and I couldn't be happier. I feel like they are safe, having fun, and learning at an age-appropriate level. My son started at Beverage Hill as a toddler in early 2023; he was very nervous at first and the teachers helped ease him in and eventually he made a good group of little friends. He often needed “space” and the teachers understood his needs and were patient with him. He moved to Rumford when he was preschool age along with a few of his buddies. He hates change, but the teachers helped with the transition. He loved his preschool class and teachers - he was always talking about the new things he was learning – about space, watching chicks hatch, etc. He was able to matriculate to their Pre-K class, and now loves having assigned jobs each week, improving his writing, and the schedule/routine every day is helpful to prepare for kindergarten. My other child recently started in the baby room and loves it. The teachers in that room show patience and care and understand the individual needs of each baby. The staff get to know the children and parents – likes, dislikes, how to help at drop off, etc. They are very flexible and accommodating to working parents - often able to accommodate last minute requests if I need to change a day. Very happy with the educational programming, staffing, and feeling like my children are safe every day.
