The Center for Rural Development is a nonprofit in Somerset serving a 45-county region of southern and eastern Kentucky. Its youth programs include summer offerings for middle and high schoolers: Rogers Explorers, a summer program for rising ninth-graders held on regional college campuses, and the Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute, a weeklong program for high school freshmen through juniors. Both build teamwork, creativity, business and leadership skills and are offered at no cost to selected students.

It was a very pleasant, open space that I could see for lots of type of events. The quilt art on display was beautiful and any staff I encountered were helpful, pleasant and accommodating.
