MVCC's Center for Corporate and Community Education runs College for Kids & Teens, a slate of non-credit summer camps taught on the community college's Utica and Rome campuses and online. Camps run six weeks, Monday through Thursday, with morning and afternoon options and new topics each week, so families sign up week by week rather than for a whole summer. Offerings span FIRST Robotics, science and technology, drone, gaming and animation camps, dance, theater and arts camps, plus Babysitter's Training and newer options like Junior Rescuers Academy, Think Green environmental exploration and kitchen and nutrition camps. Registration is online through the CCED system or by phone.

Handmade Pasta was an enjoyable and fun class. Pasta is forgiving, without measuring exactly everyone made pasta. You don't need semolina flour, tablespoons and teaspoons for accurate measurements. Mona used her chef's eye and everyone made pasta. It was a lot of fun and I know mine tasted good.

I really enjoyed this class. Lisa Ricci is a great teacher. Her teaching style has helped me learn the Italian language better. Her classes are enjoyable and she lets her students engage in conversation with her and has them repeat things over and over. To me these are very helpful methods of learning. I’ve taken Italian classes in the past but I’ve gotten more out of her class than the others I have taken.

I recently took the Basic Home Repair: Electrical with instructor Todd Manolescu and I highly recommend any of his classes for the new homeowner or anyone who wants to gain a bit of confidence with their DIY projects. Todd did a great job covering the basics and giving students the knowledge to know when they can tackle a project on their own and they need a professional involved.

My child took level 1 swim and loved it! The class moved quickly but all the kids picked the lessons up fast. It was amazing to see their growth and confidence in the water in such a short period of time. Very proud! I highly recommend swim lessons here!

My daughter really enjoyed the swim and sport camp offered. She loved Coach Jim. Drop off and pick up was seamless and straightforward and she left smiling everyday. Vaccination requirement for adults to attend credit or non credit courses is obnoxious at this point.
