The Art Room, a Windermere studio operating over 20 years, offers summer and school-holiday camps for children who have completed kindergarten and up, running Monday through Friday from 9am to 12pm (half-day). Campers work in mixed media, drawing, painting, and sculpture while learning art principles such as color theory, design, and positive/negative shapes. Saturday paint classes and parties are also offered.

They offer a wide range of art classes and workshops for students of all ages and levels. Young and older, beginner and advanced - they have a class/classes for you. Sculpture, portraits, drawing, and mosaics, plus oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting. For the younger crowd, they have classes for homeschool students and Mommy & Me. The Art Room schedules visiting artists and a variety of holiday workshops throughout the year. Sign up is easy on their website. We scheduled a large group watercolor lesson with Linda, who was very patient, explaining the ins and outs of how to create Christmas Cards. Everyone had a great time, and we can’t wait to schedule another group class. One day, I hope my schedule slows down enough to allow me to take one of their 6-week session classes. The Art Room has been in Windermere for 20 years, a testament to the service they offer the community!
