The Art Barn & Farmer Sue
Private
The Art Barn & Farmer Sue runs summer camp on a six-acre working family farm in Canton where campers do farm chores - gathering eggs, feeding and brushing the animals - and meet chickens, ducks, bunnies, lambs, goats, donkeys, horses and pigs. Each day pairs a different animal with an art project in paint, clay, mixed media or drawing, and ends with a hayride and popsicles. The farm has run children's programs since 1999 and also hosts school field trips, playdates and birthday parties; daily camp hours are not stated.

Powered by GoogleWell, I happened to meet Sue for the first time today and I must say if first impressions count I was very impressed. I have not been to her facility but just hearing about it made me want to go there . When you first meet someone new Is sometimes hard to discern who that person is. With Sue I had no doubt. I have a hunch just from talking to her that the farm that she runs has to be top rated. She was warm and instantly friendly and you could communicate with her so easily. From an outside perspective from someone that deals with numerous people on a professional basis I would rate her top notch!
The Art Barn is truly a magical place. My kids have done camps here and attended many other events, from field trips, play dates, to holiday occasions. There is something so special about the land, the animals, and the experience but especially the staff. Everyone always goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is having the best experience. Can’t recommend the place enough!
We had a great time, the kids loved, brushing all the donkeys and goats. They liked the chickens and watching the ducklings swim, they enjoyed learning about the chickens and being able to pet them. I’m glad we were able to ride the tractor more than once, and the painting was fun. It was a beautiful day where we were able to sit under the trees at the picnic tables. We would love to go back soon.
We came here for a Kindergarten field trip. I was able to come with my daughter. Such a cute little place and love the educational part of it as well. The kids really seemed to have fun and what a treat to be able to pet all of the sweet animals. The hayride was fun on such a cool day. Would definitely recommend this to others with young children. We would love to come back ourselves sometime!
The Art Barn is one of the greatest assets to our community offering education on farm animals, gardening, field trips, special events, play dates and amazing family nights! Donkeys, horses, chickens, pigs, goats, ducks and even unicorns can be seen thorough out the farm. Hayrides, Trick or Treating and Santa visits take place during special times of the year. Farmer Sue is an entertaining and marvelous educator. The farm is easily to get too. There is plenty of parking, an educational barn where art and gardening classes take place and port-a-potties on the property. We just love bringing our friends, family and kids to as many events during the year that we can attend. Everything is always affordable! Being able to interact with the animals and the friendly staff is our favorite. Farm time is the best time!
