The Academy (of Dance and Performing Arts) runs themed summer dance camps at its downtown Bellefontaine studio, 210 W. Columbus Ave. Camp offerings have included a Moana-inspired Shining Sea camp, a Royal Dance Academy princess ballet camp for ages 4-6, an Intro to Dance camp covering ballet, jazz and tap, a Pop Star Dance Party camp, and Little Movers combining expressive movement, yoga and fitness. Founded in 2016 by Ashley Schwyn, the school teaches year-round dance classes and hosts community events; the Bellefontaine site opened in 2024 as its second location.
