Tenderfoot Learning Lab really encapsulates the beauty of Southeastern Ohio. It is the perfect space for learning, building community, and gaining a true sense of place. Lindsey and Travis open their lovely home for students and educational events, like Appalachian Understories' Fall Fungi Festival. I had an amazing time working with them on this aforementioned event. I loved getting to see people of all ages get excited about nature. Tenderfoot Learning Lab is the perfect place to foster first time experiences and new interests.

Tenderfoot has become a second home to me. The environment that Tenderfoot has created allows me to simply breathe and focus on the things that matter to me most, like community, time outdoors, sustainability, and friendship. Tenderfoot has had a large impact on my experience living in Athens, and I will forever be grateful for that.

"Tenderfoot Leaning Lab is home to the Fall Fungi Festival and has been an integral part of developing the inclusive, welcoming and playful culture of the festival. Our goal in hosting this festival is to cultivate a space that is inclusive and encouraging for all folks to learn more about fungi and deepen their sense of place in Appalachia Ohio. Appalachian Understories is deeply grateful to have found the magical intersection of the Fall Fungi Festival's goal and Tenderfoot Learning Lab's mission and we are looking forward to the evolution of our meaningful partnership." -Appalachian Understories Tourism Manager, Madison Donohue

This place is as sincere and genuine in it's mission as the people are inviting and dedicated. Tenderfoot, led by Lindsey and Travis, provide a wonderful experience, be it either their engaging and hands on learning programs, or just a clean and safe place to camp out for as long as you need. Could not recommend higher.
