Tanuga Hockey Camp is a co-ed overnight hockey camp where campers train daily on the ice with experienced coaches on skating, shooting, small-area games and hockey IQ, shuttling to an NHL-size 200x85 rink at the Otsego Sportsplex. Off the ice campers get the full Camp Tanuga experience: boating, rock climbing, trapeze, campfires and team challenges, in a screen-free setting. Week-long sessions are offered for players entering or currently in Peewee (12U) and Bantam (14U), plus a session designed for female players ages 9-15. Campers stay in age- and gender-appropriate cabins with trained, background-checked staff on 150 wooded acres with private lakefront in Kalkaska, 45 minutes east of Traverse City.

Powered by GoogleWe love Tanuga! Our oldest daughter attended last year and can't wait to go back. It was everything a summer camp should be - songs and traditions, campfires, lake swims, plus hockey! I wish i could go for the whole summer. What an amazing place.
My son attended Tanuga Hockey in July 2025, and it was his first sleepaway camp. He was nervous at first, but the counselors were amazing—everything was organized, and they had an activity ready to help him settle in. By the end of the week, he was all smiles with 20 new friends and so many new experiences! The hockey was top-notch, the food was great, and he even learned to waterski, play on a water wheel, and raise/lower the flag. He can’t wait to go back in 2026! Tanuga Hockey was exactly what we hoped for—a perfect mix of hockey and camp fun. Highly recommend!
My daughter had the time of her life!
