Very disappointed at Talbert Recreation, to much favoritism are happening, discrimination especially. Owner very rude, talking to him directly will not even knowledge to look up or get up. Refs--- not train properly, every Refs bringing their own rules, and calling fouls not equally, it depends which mood they will bring to the basketball court, especially if they know the coach?! You have guarantee to lose. I will never comeback.

Parking is terrible. All the surrounding businesses have signs that prohibit event parking due to the woefully inadequate number of spots around the facility. I frequently see people parking on the side of the road a quarter mile away. Seating inside is similarly terrible. They have a few bleachers that look like they are surplus from the elementary school, and two weird aluminum bleachers that are super uncomfortable. All seating seems to be made for people under 5ft tall. I'm only 5'8 and have to bring something to sit on to not have my knees in my chest. This is all fairly moot though, since there's not enough room for spectators anyway and you'll often end up standing. Other than having inadequate capacity in every regard, it's ok for basketball courts, which is good because Mooresville seems to be allergic to basketball in general. I think there's only 2 indoor facilities (Selma Burke rec also has extremely limited parking... Like maybe 10 spots), and one outdoor court, for a town of over 50,000 residents. Meanwhile the town has around 900 pickleball courts, which all have plenty of parking... but I digress.

Our grandson had two basketball games here recently and the stands to sit and enjoy watching are good. Bathroom is clean as well.

Great facility for basketball and any inside event. Plenty of clean bathrooms and staff are friendly. Not great parking.

The place is OK but it's hard to differentiate one court from another when whistles are blown and when buzzers are blown. The buzzer was blown so loud recently that it deafened my ears and sent me to the ER. I am still deafened from it and need to see an ENT. On another note, the refs need to be more fair in their calls. They can control the outcome of a match and I believe they know it. People are not stupid and see what they are doing...😡 It's very annoying. May need to find new basketball refs or have a talk with the ones you have...please do something. This has gone on entirely too long.
