I have experienced some nature programs, and based on my experience, Take Root is the best! The mentors are highly trained, knowledgeable, respectful, and warm towards the kids. My kids never want to leave when it's time to pick them up. The directors are friendly and open to discussing any concerns or needs. I appreciate everyone at Take Root. Highly recommended.

Our experience with Take Root Forest School has been nothing short of extraordinary. My son loves his school and his teachers, and it's easy to see why. The connections he has made with friends are incredible, fostering a deep sense of community that is both welcoming and supportive. The compassion and kindness he has gained from his teachers have been truly transformative, shaping him into a more empathetic and understanding individual. The school's emphasis on connecting with nature has been game-changing. My son not only thrives in this environment but also teaches me valuable lessons about our local ecosystem and its wildlife. He loves coming home and sharing insights with us and is always excited to do so. The field trips, led by knowledgeable and passionate directors, are a highlight. These excursions provide hands-on learning experiences that are both educational and fun. Additionally, the seasonal festivals they host are truly special events that the children love. These festivals offer cultural enrichment and understanding, allowing the children to learn about and celebrate the traditions and customs associated with each season. They also incorporate fascinating scientific facts about what makes each season unique, giving him a strong understanding of the natural rhythms of the world. Moreover, the outdoor skills my son is gaining are invaluable. He has learned to identify various plants and wildlife and develop a keen sense of observation. These skills enhance his confidence and self-reliance, fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural world around him. The hands-on activities and practical knowledge he acquires will serve him well throughout his life, whether in outdoor adventures or everyday situations. The community that the directors and teachers have built with the children and their families is also something very special. This sense of belonging and mutual support extends beyond the school day, creating a network of caring and involved families who support each other. The thoughtful and inclusive environment cultivated by the staff encourages open communication, collaboration, and shared experiences, making everyone feel like an integral part of the Take Root family. Our society needs more places like Take Root, where children are allowed to learn in the outdoors instead of within the constraints of traditional classroom settings. At Take Root, children can engage with their curiosity and build a strong community on the foundations of compassion, empathy, knowledge, and the vital connection with nature. This holistic approach is crucial for developing well-rounded, thoughtful, and caring individuals who understand and appreciate the natural world. I highly recommend Take Root Forest School for anyone looking to give their child a meaningful and enriching educational experience. This school is more than just a place of learning; it is a community where children grow, thrive, and develop a lifelong love and respect for nature.

As a future homeschool parent, finding the right enrichment program is crucial, and Take Roots Forest School exceeds all expectations!! The program's dedication to nature-based learning aligns perfectly with our homeschooling philosophy. It's a sanctuary where my kids not only learn but flourish, surrounded by caring educators who prioritize their growth and well being. I trust them with all my heart! With their small student to teacher ratio, every child receives the attention they deserve. This has become my child’s second home nurturing a profound connection with the natural world.

As a parent, a sustainability professional and a parent coach it was extremely important to me to find a learning space that aligned with our values and approach to life. Take Root is just that, a wonderful space where my kid is safe all the time while exploring and learning. It is a personalized space where my kid’s specific needs and developmental stage is addressed properly as the teacher/student ratio allows for it to happen naturally. Most of all I love the dedication and preparedness of the staff every time we are there and how accessible it is for parents who like me want to be closer and more involved in my child’s education. It is the perfect enrichment program for us homeschooling and most of all a unique opportunity to for us to grow with similar minded people, who value kindness, safety, respect and play above all.
