***Updated to reflect that the Regional Operation Director did get in contact with me after my review and the remaining issue of my complaint was resolved. I am hopeful that this was a learning experience for all involved. Dispite the issue being handled I still will not be changing my rating*** This was my first time dealing with any kind of daycare facility. I thought that after reading amazing things about this facility and feeling like I did my due diligence I was in the good but it clearly was not enough. Finding a facility that you can trust with your young child is tough and the hope is to find a place that fills your doubts and worries with positive and loving feelings, not stress. We scheduled our tour and even though we had plenty of reminders of the day and time, I guess the facility didn't get the same because the director had to be found to show us around. It was as if the actual facility didn't know we were coming. We were told they had an opening as of that day but advised it wasn't needed until the (first full week) new year. We were told that wouldn't be a problem. I just needed to make sure we filled out the application. The application and required fee was paid shortly after. A week later I have to contact the enrollment people since I haven't heard anything back about my child being accepted into the program. When I called I was told that I needed to fill out the application and pay the fee. I advised I had done that the week prior. I was then told, oh I see that now. Then was told I have to fill out the enrollment paperwork. I told the woman I would complete it that day. Even with several issues, the document was sent back to the faciltity the same day. A week later I have to email and call back multiple times to the enrollment person, speaking with the same person, to get confirmation if my child is enrolled or not. I was told I should of received contact from the school by now, but she would be speaking with them soon so she would call me back that day after her meeting. I never got a call back from her that day nor a call from the school, dispite messages being left. It is now the new year and I have called and left messages on 1/2, 1/5 without response. Emailed on 1/9, and 1/13 without response. On 1/15 I get a call back from the enrollment person who right off the bat says she "didn't have any missed calls from me or messages..." I explained all of the issues since I last spoke with her. She asked if I still wanted my child enrolled even though it is past the needed start time. I advised no since I feel like I can't trust the facility and their lack of communication. I requested a refund of my application fee and was told she was have to pass that along to billing. Someone would be in touch with me in about 10 minutes. Hour and half later I get a call from her supervisor to get details and she said she will see what she can do about the refund and get back with me shortly. On 2/5 I send a message to the text messaging service advising I have not heard back on my refund and its been over 20 days. I would like for someone to call me. Response stated "Thanks for your patience, Shanna. I'll forward your message to the team again so someone can contact you about your refund as soon as possible." As of today, still no response back at all. It is very very unfortunate for any parent to have to stress about childcare but to not be able to have open communication is so awful. I hope this business does better but I can NOT and will NOT be recommending this facility to anyone.

Sunshine Bright Academy Morehead City has been a wonderful experience for our daughter. The whole staff puts the child’s experience first, no matter what, and we love that! Our little one gets excited every morning when we pull into the parking lot. It’s clear that the teachers and staff genuinely care for our child and are dedicated to their role in her development. Childcare is a tough business, and we know hiccups may come along. When they do, the staff at Sunshine is very communicative and eager to work with families to ensure the most positive outcome for their children. Ms. Erin, Ms. Mary, Ms. Michelle, and Ms. Susie are fantastic. Can't imagine our days without them!

Sunshine Bright is such a wonderful place! I am so grateful for Courtney, Mary, Susie, and the rest of the teachers and staff. The care they provide to the babies and children is genuine and kind. This team works so hard every day to make sure the little ones have a safe and happy place to play and learn. They’re dedicated to supporting the kids and pushing them appropriately towards their milestones. My daughter started with very few skills after having been home with a nanny. Her teachers worked so hard with her and continue to do so to help her grow. She’s a lucky kid, and we are lucky parents to be a part of this special daycare.

Mrs.Mary & Miss.Caroline have taken great care of my 4 month old son, he is exceeding all of his developmental milestones. My son and I feel loved and welcome every time we come in! Mrs.Marion is also a very great teacher to my 2 year old ! He has fully blossomed into a brand new child under her care, she also had him start potty training within one week under her care. We love her ! I love feeling that my kids are safe & loved here. I have extreme anxiety, & the teachers here are very informative, send tons of videos & pictures of both my babies everyday! I am so happy I chose Sunshine Bright Academy!
