Sunrise of Philadelphia is a nonprofit 21st Century Community Learning Center that runs a six-week summer day camp for Philadelphia students in grades K-12, aimed at youth facing adversity. My daughter loves loves loves the Sunrise Summer camp program and so do I. They learn about current events and go on trips. The counselors make sure to pay attention to the person picking up the child as well. Sunrise also has a program for high school teens to learn and get paid just for it. It's great to keep them busy while school is out.
