I’ve been working on doing things outside of my comfort zone (and facing my fear of heights) and I’m so glad I tried bouldering! It looks intimidating at first, especially with there being no harnesses, but it doesn’t go as high up as a traditional rock climbing wall and there are very plush pads below to catch you when you fall. The staff are very friendly and do a great job of explaining everything as well. The climbing routes are great and they’re changed regularly so you’ll always get something new and interesting. They get you to really push yourself and it’s so satisfying to finally complete a difficult route!

I've only climbed a few times, but I love it here! I like that the routes are regularly reset so every time there are new challenges for both experienced climbers and first-timers. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I'm planning to buy a pair of climbing shoes soon (the rental shoes don't give you much support on small toe holds), and they let me try on a couple different brands and styles to get a better idea what I need.

Summit City is a real gem for Fort Wayne, best climbing gym for hours around. They work really hard to keep the routes always changing so it feels fresh each visit. The staff is pleasant and welcoming. Great space to climb for the first time, or to hone well developed skills.
