Powered by GoogleI can only speak to the childcare aspect of the JCC - but on this front I’d say it’s easily world class. From teachers to administrators you’ll find a group of people who genuinely care for and about the kids - “students” - in their care.
Having our son at the J for his childcare from infant to preschool has been a wonderful experience. The J has incredible teachers that provide a great environment for kids that promotes learning and fun. Early on, it was clear that the kids receive strong support from teachers who care deeply about each kids’ experience. I really couldn’t be happier with how he has developed and grown over the last several years. It’s clear that the J wants to ensure a loving and safe environment for kids and has provided a community that we are grateful for.
Both our boys have gone through the J. The teachers are wonderful, fostering growth and development while truly caring for our children. The administration is very involved, taking a personal interest in the children. Our son has had several health issues and the staff are amazing with him, helping in concerning situations and even riding with him in an ambulance! We’ll be very sad when we graduate and leave this wonderful place where our children are loved and protected.
Spacious facility for wide variety of gym equipment and never feels crowded. Really appreciate fitness classes that are included with membership. Staff is really nice and place is kept very clean. 4 lane swimming pool a little too warm for lap swimming for me but nice to have option. Also have enjoyed indoor pickleball. Highly recommend checking out with day pass as I did at first.
The facilities are old and outdated. The gym floor is falling apart seems like they have a large asset and they don’t have the funds to take care of it. They need to improve fundraising efforts to have better facilities. It’s also insanely expensive to join relative to other community centers or YMCA is in the area. The JCC also lacks a maccabi games program, which is something that most other JCC’s have across the United States. Might be time to shut down as it doesn’t serve our community as it once did.
