Powered by GoogleI attended a weekend retreat there and it was a very pleasant experience. Their facilities are massive between the different buildings and lodging facilities, some stuff was slightly outdated and then a few areas could have been a little cleaner. But.... With what seemed to be a small staff maintaining everything I thought they did great. The staff made it get five stars, their willingness to make it better for you and accommodate you with politeness and professionalism were amazing. All meals were served out of their cafeteria-style lunchroom and we're very good with a great selection of choices.
It was okay. Stayed in Heritage Lodge. Our room's ac was AMAZING!! We were popsicles in the 80°+ weather. I would say a lot less to do for about 6 and under. No smaller bows for archery. Not many outside toys, so bring your own. If your kid is bad with outlets, bring your own covers, too.
Beautiful drive and location. The castle looks awesome. The food that they serve on the on-site kitchen was kind of eh but they’re obviously working on modernizing interior and the main event room is very cool looking with a big deck. I can see this as an awesome wedding place to I’m sure they host those too, but that is not why I attended an event here.
Great place for the family to explore! We went for the Autumn on Parade weekend and it was $10 a person. Lots of vendors for this event too.
We've been camping at Stronghold for over 30 years. It's being run by a fabulous director, Danny. He is helpful and kind. He allowed our family to go through the castle and opened the game room because it was raining one of the mornings. That castle is so impressive and could sleep 60 people. It would be a fun place to host a family reunion. We enjoy the family campsite with a pavilion. So much space to ourselves and 2 port a pots on our site. Showers are a little further. We'll definitely be back!
