Went here for a week long stay maybe 4 years ago. Horse riding, river floating, the farm, birdwatching, and all of that was great. Can’t remember if it was the chicken or the biscuits but the food was amazing. Onto why I wrote a 1 star review I have a phobia of swimming in dark water now all relating to water thanks to an incident in the pool. They have these big mats they laid on the water and kids would jump on them. Well I guess the multiple councilors weren’t looking too close because the mat was dropped on me. Kids were crowding around the edge of it and jumping on it while I was drowning underneath it. It was dark and every time I would come up for air, a kid would jump on my head. I was 12 years old and vividly remember thinking I was going to die that day. I finally managed to calm down enough to shove a kid out of the way so I could get some air and even then not a single councilor noticed me. I think that’s the closest I’ve ever been to dying. Don’t know why I never thought to contact the camp about this but if you work at the camp and you’re reading this, please get rid of those mats before someone actually dies.

Wonderful traditional camp! My boys had a great experience with canoeing, archery, horse back riding, swimming, tether ball and singing and skits ... They haven't stopped talking about it since we picked them up! I highly recommend.
