My child attended STEMlight Prep Academy for all of 3rd grade. I was nervous at first because it was a new school, and I was even hesitant about the location. However, once I attended the open house and tour, I knew it was going to be the answer to my prayers. I’m so happy to report that the school year was fun, interactive, engaging, and appropriately challenging for my child. She now wakes up excited to go to school every day — especially compared to her previous school experience, which felt like pulling teeth for both of us. That environment was overwhelming in so many ways, but we never had those issues at STEMlight. The teachers and staff genuinely care about each child’s social-emotional well-being as much as their academic growth, which I find rare. They consistently create meaningful experiences and wonderful memories for the students. My child learned so much this year in math, reading, science, and technology. She even wrote her own book and discovered a love for robotics, art, and business. I truly can’t recommend this STEM microschool enough for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to providing an excellent education and nurturing environment for families in Orlando.

My two children, ages 11 and 9, attended a full-time two-week session (eight days total) at STEMlight Prep Academy before we traveled abroad, and I was very impressed. From the first conversation with the owner I felt the program was thoughtful and well organized; she explained how they begin with a diagnostic to place each student and then build a personalized learning path so no child falls behind. The learning is hands-on and creative: my kids made simple scales, oil-painted small canvases to take home, experimented with generating electricity from potatoes and lemons, and completed robotics lessons. Lessons draw from multiple books and reputable online resources rather than relying on a single textbook, and the staff are patient and encouraging. What stood out most was the caring, values-driven atmosphere. The instructor who leads the faith-based studies clearly loves her work and keeps improving her own skills; she motivates students gently and teaches meaningful character development lessons alongside memorization. The owner has many years of classroom experience and professional certifications, and it shows how smoothly the program runs. My younger child, who usually resists reading, was matched with topics he enjoys and was supported to read with interest. Both kids loved the program. My older son asked to return next year and even preferred this school while he was there. If you’re looking for an academy that blends strong STEM programming with individualized attention and a warm, values-aligned environment, I recommend speaking with the owner directly.

We had a wonderful experience at STEMlight's summer camp! My child looked forward to it every single day and came home excited to share what they learned, from building to exploring science experiments, all while being reminded of their faith and values. The instructors were kind, knowledgeable, and made learning fun in a safe, faith-based environment. It's so refreshing to find a program that combines hands-on STEM learning with Islamic teachings in such a thoughtful way. Highly recommend!

Stemlight prep academy was amazing !! We went for the 1st time for the Free Robotics class they offered. My boys 14 and 17 year old said the class was very interesting and great. They really enjoyed it. Definitely a place where they would like to continue and expand their knowledge in Robotics and stem education. Thank you stemlight for all you do for our children.
