Steamoji Kirkland is a STEM/STEAM 'maker academy' for children roughly ages 5-15 at 355 Kirkland Ave. Its week-long summer camps are hands-on build projects — designing and coding battle robots, building a voice assistant with soldering and parts assembly, or art-inspired mini-games for younger 'Junior Apprentices' (ages 5-7). The program spans coding, engineering, robotics and digital arts, with kids progressing through levels tracked in a parent app.

My younger daughter also wanted to join as well watching her old sis doing cool stuff, so she started when she turned 5. Since then, both of my girls have absolutely loved everything Steamoji offers. I really appreciate the wide range of programs they provide. 3D printing, crafts, engineering, electronics, coding, and more. It’s a wonderful place for kids to explore technology and creativity in a hands-on way. We recently moved farther north and unfortunately can’t attend the Kirkland location anymore, but we’re planning to join a Steamoji location closer to us soon. Highly recommend Steamoji to families looking for engaging STEM programs for their kids!

He learns differently and he was allowed to experiment with different projects rather than following the traditional tracks which worked well for him. He is really interested in 3D print and his experience at Steamoji helped him learn basic 3D printing skills so when we were able to get a basic 3D printer at home, he already knew how to use it and is now a master!
