Great program !! But very unorganized during the games and tournaments. Charging 10 dollars per game its way too expensive. Specially on tournament days. We paid 30 dollars for the tournament. 60 dollars if I would bring my 3 year old. Who charges 10 dollars for a 3 year old. They don't even have a big parking lot and not enough seats inside the building. Come on you have to be flexible on your costs during the game. It's enough that you are very expensive program as it is.
Seats and accommodations during tournaments is not very easy. The host parents are not very friendly and seem unwilling to acclimate host parents. Not friendly at all. I did bring this up and an announcement was made and no one moves. There were several parents that still had to stand behind many empty chairs. Parents that left those seats said we could sit in the chairs, but they were full of personal belongings. They simply did not want to move their items and we ended up still standing.
All in all the facility does provide adequate room for a tournament, but no where enough room for spectators. The seating that is provided does not in my opinion provide the needs for large events, or feel sturdy enough. Teams have no where to rest and eat between meets but in the parking lot. Im fine with no food or drinks from outside but teams should be allowed to have snacks for just the team. Some coaches don't allow the girls to eat junk food during tournament. The roof needs attention, if they are leasing they need to talk to the owners. Not enough bathrooms.
Here from NM for a club volleyball tournament... floors are too slippery and DESPERATELY in need of a cleaning... ceilings are too low for volleyball and all teams are suffering because of it.. lighting is also in need of an updated - LEDs are a new technology - have the Star Haven directors heard of them??? Removing insulation from the ceiling and using old school transparent siding isn’t a solution... parking is decent considering the area and the number of teams playing...
