Powered by GoogleWe had a wonderful experience at the basketball academy, especially with Coach Jake. It was amazing to see my son’s skills improve and his confidence grow from session to session. Now he’s having a blast playing in his local grade school league because of what he learned. Coach Jake knew exactly how to motivate, encourage and keep my son engaged. We are looking forward to returning to the academy for other offerings in the future.
This has got to be one of the worst places to play basketball. Dennis is very rude, aggressive, a poor communicator and disrespectful. He doesn't know how to speak to women or children in a respectful manner. He speaks in a very degrading tone and comes off as hostile. Popsicles and Gatorade does not erase how rude you treat people. If your child is confident in their abilities and plays well, this is not the organization for them. He may need to hang it up and retire.
If you want to really learn how to play basketball, come here. It is a must for any age level that wants to play. Dennis is very willing to do what it takes for the kids that go there. I my self go there and I have been going here for about 4 years and I have to say that its one of the best experiences I have had playing basketball trying to get better. I would recommend this to anyone trying to get better at shooting or skills. He does private training which helps with your shot. I did that and helped me tremendously. Don't pay attention to David Sharps review. Its been 2 years since he has seen this place. This is probably the best place for your kid to learn. NOBODY else will do better than Dennis. Hope this helps!!
If you want your kids to learn Basketball then don't look anywhere else other than Saint Louis Basketball Academy. Coach Beckett is very good a true professional. He takes full pride and interest in coaching the skills, kids needs. My son's skill level has improved so much after he started training with Coach Beckett. I highly recommend Saint Louis Basketball Academy for kids of all ages, who really want to improve their skills and go to the next level. Thanks Coach Beckett for offering your skills to the kids!
Dennis can't get out of his own way. In the 4 years we participated, the club dues, uniforms and tournament fees came out to over $5,000. With that kind of investment, we had high expectations. The club is highly disorganized, extremely poor at communicating, and Dennis has run off at least 4 coaches at our grade level ... who all went on to start their own teams. Take it from someone who learned the hard way, try ANYWHERE else first.
