Powered by Googlemy name is cherry, i went to st. francis for the under 18 camp. it was literally so amazing! i’m 16 and have serious mental health issues but i can easily control them with a little help and this camp was AMAZING for that! they were very caring and super kind. one counselor was always there to help me when my emotions got high or i was in physical pain. i had to leave early the last week i was there but the entire time before it was bed time she was right with me. another one, my first camp counselor, was very sweet and patient with me. my second one for my second week there was very nice and told me i need to go to kfc in her home country (i definitely will, too!) and last but not least in my favorites is (i’m not sure what she was but she was so sweet!) someone that the day i left made sure i got the goodies i was supposed to get on thursday. she was always so sweet and when she’d she me she’d say “hi beautiful!” honestly she was just so sweet. i liked sitting on the hammocks with her. overall, if i could give this place more stars, i would break the scale. i listed the people i interacted with the most but everyone there was so nice! they all are amazing people. the place was clean, the people were nice, it was beautiful, and it was SUPER fun. also… J, when i CATCH you j…. (joking, he was a favorite too!) okay okay now i’m rambling but it’s a great place and if you want a safe and calm/hyper environment (depending on needs) for your kids, st. francis is exactly what they need. thank you guys for an amazing time, and i’m so excited to see you all next year. (also did i mention that camp is GORGEOUS on the inside of the buildings??)
My autistic adult son had a fantastic time staying at this camp. Awesome accommodating staff.
I would give more stars if I could! My disabled daughter has been attending St Francis camp on the lake for the past 10 years. She loves it and so do I. Activities are amazing! She goes on and on about all the things she did throughout the week. Camp director is excellent at her job. She made sure my daughter had the personalized care that she needed. She also provided me with information on how my daughter was doing throughout the week. I'm so happy I found this camp! It's somewhat secluded on a country road in the woods. Very beautiful setting I feel good leaving my daughter here. Also very happy with the low number of campers allowed for each camp week. I hope this Camp will be around for a very long time. My daughter looks forward to it every summer!
Beautiful, so clean and the most amazing staff.
St. Francis Camp on the Lake is an amazing camp doing amazing things for amazing people with amazing caretakers and leadership.
