Springfield Art Association
Private
A Springfield nonprofit art association whose Summer Art Camp runs weekly Monday-Friday sessions from early June through late July for students from age 4 through high school. Sessions are half-day blocks, with drop-off and pick-up at 9am, noon, 1:30pm and 4:30pm, so families can combine a morning and an afternoon camp into a full day. Most camps meet at the main 4th Street campus, with some older-grade camps at the Broadwell Building downtown.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Springfield Art Association directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleThe range of media you can take classes in and the facilities for those classes at the SAA are one of a kind. I'm especially fond of their metals lab and the classes I took with SAA Collective artist Meghan Tippy-Reese even before the metals lab was in its current location.
I've taken many lessons over the years. SAAs teachers are professional artists who have really helped me improve my ability to bring out my creative vision. I love the Springfield Art Association!
I’ve been coming for years and always enjoy myself. I’m not kidding when I say my house is full of unique pots at this point! I do miss the early days when there was an actual pig roast. If there was anything I would change, it would be the dinner. It’s mediocre conference food at best. That being said, I can’t wait till next year!
The Springfield Art Association has the best functions. Roasted is one of our families favorite events!
Roasted on Saturday was a fantastic event! SAA did a great job of working around the poor weather conditions to provide a wonderful experience with glazing and outdoor kilns.
