SPREE (South Platte River Environmental Education) is a program of the nonprofit Greenway Foundation that runs ten weeks of day camp at SPREE HQ in Johnson Habitat Park, on the South Platte River in Denver. Each week has its own theme tied to the river and urban waterways, and the camp describes itself as hands-on and screen-free, led by experienced educators. SPREE runs a pathway of river programming from 1st grade through college, including school field trips and weekend events, and also offers spring-break camp.
