My daughter has taken classes here before and is taking a toddler class now, the instructors are always kind and helpful. They do their best to address any and all concerns people have, they care about the students comfort level and respect boundaries. I love how they give them positive reinforcement and explain everything to the kids. The kids are always welcome to step away for a bathroom or water break and are patient with the kids.

We love them for their Open Playground time mid-day. It's ages 5 and under and our little one loves scooting around the mats and bouncing on the trampoline. Under 2 is free during that time. The paid classes are very popular too.

I am giving Spokane gymnastics two stars for poor communication around class offerings for boys, inconsistency in staffing, lack of skilled coaches for entry level gymnasts, non-existent communication between parents and coaches in beginner classes, and an overall factory farm approach to gymnastics. To begin, Spokane gymnastics has a few pros. I appreciate their class makeup policy and that they offer a variety of classes. However, if you are looking for a gym that supports boys/mens gymnastics and provides coaching towards skill growth and development, I would look elsewhere. For context, I have children ages 4, 7 and 9 currently wrapping up a 12-week session at Spokane gymnastics. We have previously taken preschool classes here, as well as two sessions of Parkour. Spokane gymnastics has ultimately been a disappointment for a number of reasons. My boys, ages 9 and 11, previously took parkour classes here. They got bored with the lack of variety in the classes and decided they wanted to try level 1. It was my understanding that classes were co-ed, but boys would still have opportunities to work on traditional men’s gymnastics events (pommel horse and rings are listed on the website). I was disappointed that there was no instruction geared towards boys. My boys primarily worked on beam, trampoline, and bars. When I asked the front desk today if they have traditional gymnastics class offerings for boys, I was told to sign them up for ninja or parkour classes. They said they discontinued boys gymnastics because of lack of enrollment. This is clearly different than what is communicated on the website, and a huge disappointment. An additional challenge has been communication. At the end of class my boys have said “our coach told us we were all bad today.” I have never had a conversation with the coach, or been given any feedback that indicates my kids need to work on their behavior in class. I would be happy to have conversations with my kids about their behavior if I am aware of issues, but I have heard nothing from their coach. This is partly due to the factory farm nature of the gym. So many kids are churned through here an hour, there is no way coaches can invest in parent relationships or communication. Another challenge has been stagging inconsistency. In the 12 week session my 3 kids have worked with at least 5 or 6 different coaches. I understand the need to have occasional substitutes, but the lack of consistency makes any skill progression incredibly difficult. My final complaint is around entry level coaching. I have seen very little evidence of coaching that would lead to any authentic skill progression in level 1 classes. Perhaps this is because my kids are boys and they were written off from the start, but I am unclear how students at this gym progress from level to level. Overall, we have had a disappointing experience. Today is the last day of classes and my boys went in a bounce and played duck duck goose. I’m sure they had fun, but this is not what I signed them up for.

We been in multiple seasons with out 2 daughters. This place cares about your kiddo a d helping them develop skills to further their time there. Were in a 4 and 2 yo class. The kids love going and seeing their teachers(coach). We plan on continuing into more seasons and see where it goes.

Spokane Gymnastics has been such a great experience for my toddler. The space is huge, which makes it perfect for little ones to explore, move, and burn off energy safely. She has so much fun every time we go, and I’m impressed with how much they’re actually teaching her while still keeping it playful and age-appropriate. One of my favorite things is that there’s a designated area for kids to play when they aren’t in class. It makes the whole experience more relaxed and family-friendly. We absolutely love it and look forward to going each week.
