The Spencer-Penn Centre is a community education and special-events center in Spencer, housed in a 1927 public school building that the community bought and reopened after the school closed in 2004. Its summer programming is devoted largely to children, with a selection of youth camps across roughly six weeks at low cost; the Centre also hosts a monthly bluegrass and gospel Music Night and rents conference space. Individual camp themes, ages and daily hours are not published on the site.

I'm so happy that the school still stands and wasn't abandoned like the ones you see online. Even the old one room school house still stands next door. The old Principals house has been sold and someone currently resides there please respect their privacy when you visit this truly Historical bast from the past.
