I had a wonderful time visiting Spearfish Rec & Aquatics Center during my road trip through the beautiful Black Hills region. This is an absolutely top-notch community facility that is spotlessly clean, incredibly modern, and offers a fantastic variety of activities for travelers of all ages. The indoor fitness and gym areas are packed with high-quality equipment, but the real highlight is the massive seasonal outdoor water park, which looks like an absolute blast with its huge waterslides, lazy river, and zero-depth entry pools. The staff members at the front desk were exceptionally welcoming to an out-of-town guest, making it super easy to grab a reasonable day pass to stretch my legs and get in a great workout. It is an outstanding recreation spot that provides an excellent, family-friendly environment to burn off some energy, and I will definitely be stopping back by for a swim the next time my travels bring me through town.

Clean and friendly. Fun fitness classes for adults. Wish they had an indoor pool.

Good place to go and hang out with the kids for a very fair price.

Spent $117 to get the family in then they closed the main pool with slides and lazy river and the swimming pool at 2 and said it should be open by 5 or 6. After getting the kids something to eat and getting them ready to swim I went to get in the lazy river for the first time and was about 10 feet in and they told everyone to get out. I asked if I could get tickets to come back another day or money back and they said no. It would cost them nothing to give us tickets to come back another day.

This water park is a great place for the entire family. The view you get is awesome too. It is right off of the side of the road and has beautiful mountains in the background. The pictures I included don’t do it justice! You can slide down huge slides, stay with your little ones in the small, shallow part, or enjoy the “playground” with small slides and an ENORMOUS bucket that dumps water out every so often. Super fun and a good way to kill some time in the summer. Staff members were awesome and friendly, I am impressed yet again by Spearfish! 10/10!
