I do not recommend this dance studio. Very disappointing experience. The environment was not welcoming for kids, and the professionalism was lacking. I would not take my children there again.

To say we LOVE Spark Dance Academy is an understatement! My daughter turns 8 this year, and we started just a week before she turned 2. Now I have 3 girls dancing there multiple times a week! Spark feels more like a family than just a regular ole’ studio. It’s a place where my girls feel safe, encouraged, and uplifted. We’ve had almost every teacher at Spark, and I honestly can’t say one negative thing about any of them! They truly look out for my daughters’ best interests, keep them safe, and help them grow and love dance more every day. One of my girls asks daily if she can just move into the studio because she loves it so much! We’re so grateful that Spark really looks out for the dancers and makes sure they’re placed in the right levels for safety, growth, and enjoyment. 10000000/10 recommend to all our friends, neighbors, and even random people in the grocery store!

A few years ago we switched dance studios looking for something that more aligns with what we were looking for, for our young dancer. We found Spark and haven’t looked back. The owners care about the safety of the children, both physically and mentally, in ways other studios in the area don’t. They care about the dancers’ longevity in dance, and ensuring they’re trained in a way that’s fun and age-appropriate, while still ensuring exceptional technique. The studio offers classes for those who want a once a week fun class, to a competition team that focuses on dancers growth and team spirit instead of just chasing trophies, to pre-professional development for dancers who want to continue after high school. It really is the best place to check out, whether you have an aspiring dancer or are coming from a different studio.

Our decision to remove our daughter from the studio was primarily based on ongoing concerns around communication. As parents, we found it challenging to get clear, timely information about important aspects such as costumes, class expectations, and recital details. This lack of clarity led to misunderstandings that could have been avoided with more transparent and accessible communication channels. Additionally, when we reached out for clarification, the response we received felt more dismissive than collaborative. We understand and respect that teachers make artistic decisions, but we believe there should be space for respectful dialogue between parents and staff, especially when information is unclear or unavailable. By the time the owner reached out, we were already discouraged by the tone and approach taken. The voicemail left gave the impression that it would be better for our daughter to withdraw from the class rather than work toward a collaborative solution.

I have 25+ years ~Dance Mom~ experience... So, with that being said, BAABOO aka gma was just helping my daughter out by taking our grandbb's to their Wed. dance class (ballet/tap). The huge DANCE sign was helpful, but when i opened the door, i was totally shocked at how small the front area is!! There was 6 adults (4 of which were sitting on the floor) and 4 children. When the 4 of us entered it was at Full Capacity! 2 chairs & 2 slightly tinted small viewing windows, that's it?? Apparently there's a studio "B" across the way? I did not go into that one. The air conditioner must've been turned up or maybe it wasn't working... It felt like 80° in that small space. The teacher was filling in for the regular teacher, but she did a pretty good job with the 12+ littles. She also had some helpers for about 30 minutes. I think they could utilize their space better to accommodate both the parents & the dancers. I've spent 1000's of hours watching/waiting for my girlz at the dance studio & it's important that the environment feels welcoming & comfortable! Especially when your spending a large amount of time there! Just a suggestion 😊 🩰💃🕺👯‍♀️
