We have been involved with SES for about 4 years and we love it! The competition is better than regular rec programs in the area. The program has to work around gym availability a lot as they use local school gyms and church facilities so changes happen, but as long as you understand that they need to be flexible sometimes, it's a wonderful alterative to the county & city based rec sports. My son has had a lot of success (and fun) in SES and we love it!

The most poorly organized group of people I have ever had to work with. Find somewhere else for your kids to play sports. **The owner’s response to this post is that I am disgruntled because of an ejection from a problem referee who issued 5 technical fouls in under one minute of gameplay to two 7 year old players and two coaches. It was the most unprofessional refereeing I have ever witnessed. Something was obviously wrong with the guy and his judgment was certainly impaired. The man’s behavior certainly made me question his sobriety and whether or not any parent wants that type of belligerent person around their children. This concern sailed right over the head of Brent Dillard who owns Southern Elite Sports. However, this was but one negative experience amongst at least 50 we had during the summer season. As you will read in a post from another parent on here, their lack of professionalism and organization is extraordinary. Game time and location changes at the last minute became the norm after week 1. The first gym they had our 7 year olds playing in was in an unairconditioned gym that also had no bathrooms. It was 95° outside and over 100° in the gym. When every parent on our team wanted to quit the league and demand their money back after that intro to Southern Elite Sports, which the head coach did end up doing, I stepped in to coach for the kids sake and talked them in to staying. I regret that very much as did all of them by the end of the season. We had 8 players and 8 sets of parents that will all tell you the same things I am about this league because the facts are the facts and they all feel the exact same way. Do yourself a favor and find your kids some better places to play sports. The ref was out of line. I think I can speak for us all when I say we were appalled and upset by the ref's actions/calls. We were prepared to leave and forfeit the game. Our experience with the league was also disappointing and it's unfortunate because the resources and extracurriculars in our area are already so limited.” There are good recreational sports leagues in Walton County and Panama City Beach if you are looking for sports for your kids. Southern Elite Sports is not where you want to send your kid or money.

Thankful for this program. Both my son and nephew participate in multiple sports with the league. Having coached in the past, I understand that often times it is a thankless job. There are many moving parts and only when you have to balance it all and make it come together that you get a true understanding of how it works. We are appreciative of our coaches, players and directors. Thank you providing our children with opportunities to play.

Most unorganized, unprepared league we’ve ever seen. Practice schedule sent about 10 times in 2 days- all at different locations. half way into the season, the coach doesn’t know from one day to the next when practice will be, no fault of her own- she’s not given the info in advance. No way to plan ahead. Jersey for basketball not available until right before first game, no idea what color. Just horrible experience all around.
