Powered by GoogleI've been attending this gym for nearly a year and will be discontinuing my membership once it expires. Good for everyday folks looking to stay moving—but not the place for serious athleticism. The pool is an absolute joke, with a 30-minute cap on required reservations and no way to double-book. That means you're stuck swimming a maximum of thirty minutes per day. Most I've been able to squeeze in is 1,500yds, hardly enough for a proper warm up, cool down, and workout. Even when you do stick to the 30-minute rule, at least five minutes at the beginning of your lane time is spent ushering someone out of your lane. Then five minutes at the end is spent getting flagged down and interrupted by people who have to let you know they're up next. So really, you're looking at twenty minutes of good, solid workout. Plus, on multiple occasions, staff have cleaned the pool while I'm swimming laps, scraping pool scum into the water and right in my face. Inconsiderate and pretty gross. And more than once, they have over-shocked the pool, resulting in days of itchiness and a pretty nasty swimmers-cough. The weight room is always way too hot, with limited access to barbells. Not nearly enough equipment to go around, especially if I have to compete with the after-school crowd. The kids are respectful, but there are a lot of them coming in and the equipment becomes sparse quickly. The staff are nothing to sneeze at. Never been outright rude, but never friendly either. They honestly do not pay attention to me. Not the end of the world, but the cherry on top of an already mediocre experience. I'm going to try the Benton Harbor RAC instead, because this club just isn't it Especially if you're a swimmer, save your money.
I commute about 10 miles one way to attend this gym, and it has a lot to offer for my fitness journey. The facility is equipped with everything I need, and most of the staff is friendly and welcoming. However, some of the equipment is outdated or frequently marked with “out of order” signs, including the steam room, which was recently upgraded but still unavailable at times. While sanitation wipes are provided, the dirt and debris buildup around several machines is concerning and takes away from the overall experience. With better upkeep and more consistent maintenance, this gym could truly live up to its full potential.
This is my go to place!!! Always a pleasure to see everyone and get to enjoy all the equipment, and not to mention the wonderful pool and hot tub… Yeah my home away from home…❤️💯🎯
My daughter completed the Junior Certification with Marie. My wife and daughter were really impressed and found it interesting and fun. My wife also said the young man at the desk was very helpful checking them in.
I’ve been a loyal member of this gym for over 10 years, but sadly it’s gone completely downhill. They promised us members turf space that we were excited for—only to turn around and rent it out to Mad Dog Fitness classes that are loud, obnoxious, and completely disrupt the atmosphere. It’s clear the owners care more about outside money-making opportunities than the loyal members who’ve been supporting this place for years. The equipment is old, rusted, and often out of order, and the owners are incredibly rude and unapproachable. They make no effort to engage with or support the community they built this gym on. It’s frustrating to watch them pour energy into profit-driven ventures while neglecting the needs of actual members. This place used to feel like home, but now it just feels like a cash grab. Disappointed is an understatement.
