I love the community center. I love rocky mount!! If you rent out a room and want to serve alchohol be prepared to get an insurance policy and pay a pretty penny! Would recommend mostly for kid parties/ non alcoholic events.
This place right here saved many lives including mine. Instead of going to parties or hanging in the streets. This place raised a lot of us as kids giving us guidance and teaching us it was ok to be just that, children. Some of the happier moments of my life was remember here at this community gym. This was our safe place as kids.
In my experience i am well pleased of the new environment and the opportunity to give people of all different ages a way to get socially involved into an outlet to keep their minds involved in the different activities. My grandson started to open up and not be afraid of other people due to lack of knowledge of how they would respond
My family had a Memorial Service at the Community Center on 4/29/2017. Chris Allen, the Supervisor provided exceptional customer service from our very first phone conversation. On the day we met, Mr. Allen gave me a tour and the room was just what we needed. The Center provided chairs, tables, ice and a podium. Thank you Chris Allen, KC and Duane Ashmon. We had a beautiful Memorial Service for my brother and you all helped to make that a reality. I have already begun to tell all my family and friends about the South Rocky Mount Community Center. Again, thank you and many, many blessings. The youth are blessed to have these men as their mentors.
