Michael, the owner, appears to be attentive, hands-on, and the kids seem to all love him which is a great sign! The older girls in company classes have lovely technique and discipline from what I observed, which is a large measure of a studio in my opinion. The building itself feels new and modern and the dance studios are lovely with murals, beautiful dance floors, large mirrors, and bars in multiple studios. The parents also have a large kitchen/seating area with plenty of chargers to hang out or get work done during classes. My daughter loved her combo class and instructor Emma and we can’t wait to integrate into the SMPA family!

My 3-year-old daughter began last year in the Parent & Me class which was an amazing way to ease her into dance, and is now loving her own combo class with her peers. They do a little bit of tap, ballet and acro in each class. The teachers are incredibly kind, attentive and know how to make learning fun while also instilling a respect for the art of dance. My children have grown in confidence, feel comfortable in their own skin and are always excited to go to class and that is almost entirely due to the teachers and the atmosphere they provide. Both of my kids have also attended SMPA’s summer camp and absolutely loved it! My son will talk about it all year! Highly recommend for anyone in the Laveen/South Mountain area or even if you’re willing to drive it is totally worth it! There is not a studio even close to this caliber in the area.
