I stopped swimming here last year due to: generally cold, inconsistent water temperature, cold air outside of the pool, unsanitary changing rooms, bathrooms, and lack of cleanliness and organization within the entire pool area. Sometimes teenage lifeguards eating poolside, and private parties on weekends bringing in more food. Food and water attracts bugs, and it did. I realize it is an older building, but with some elbow grease it can be clean. I was shocked to see that Esports Gaming is now at the center! Using funds for Gaming (though likely a revenue source) instead of cleaning and organizing the building, until the long-awaited new complex is built (is it 2027? let's hope it gets done) is beyond me. Not to mention that West Virginia has the highest obesity rate in the United States. So why invite people to the Community Center for Esports, which promotes prolonged sitting, poor dietary habits, and increases the risk of obesity?

The pool is amazing sweetheart you should go every day! and I love insides pools because it’s not that hot and also so we can go to the pool over the winter. This is so fun. I love getting wet!

My family loves the pool at the rec center the water always feels good and the diving boards are fun also the changing rooms and showers are clean.
