Late summer to early fall is the optimal time to come here, when it's not too hot and the leaves are turning their autumn shades. This isn't the kind of park with a playground or play structures, it's more of a vast, spread out area with lots of grass, trees, walking trails and a picnic area with an abundance of tables. It does have restrooms. There's an outdoor theatre nestled here, I've never been to a performance but the stage and relevant structures add to the ambiance. This park is never busy when I've gone; a compliment to its lush growth of trees and shrubs looming over the trail winding through the entrance. Small wildlife can be seen and heard, and a little bridge going over a stream or little valley where a stream once was. One thing: if it isn't windy or winter, pack some bug spray as this park can be rife with mosquitos!

Sleepy Hollow Park was surprisingly not busy with its hillside views and semi wooded bike and walking trails. However, the few people who were there seemed to enjoy the park as much as we did. This park had a play area, picnic area and restrooms near the pedestrian entrance of the park. Sleepy Hollow Park was very pristine and it felt as if I were on a movie set.

Peaceful and quaint park with performance stage and also a hidden trail that's about 3 quarter mile long for walking. Not recommended for biking.
