In summer it runs as a resident (overnight) Christian camp where children, youth, and persons with special needs spend a week or more; it also hosts year-round retreats. Open to all.

Seldom will you find a location and team that tend to even the smallest detail, to make your experience the best it can be. This past Saturday 3/18/17 we held a one day church retreat at Sky Lake in the Founders Lodge. At the door, we were instantly warmly greeted by Jenna, welcoming us for the day and tending to our every need. When we went downstairs to our room, the wood fireplace was in full blaze, the coffee set up with the morning muffins. Jenna was not in the process of setting up...the place was ready and perfect. Later in the morning we met Matthew, the Director and he also assisted in every way possible. Lunch was excellent and healthy, reserved tables with our name on them. Several types of beverages, hot and cold. even syrups to flavor your coffee. Again, the exceptional little touches...mints after lunch delivered personally by Jenna, chocolate chip cookies for a mid afternoon snack, mints by the door. All of this in a beautiful country winter setting. I have been to many, many, many hotels and resorts across the country. You will find wonderful facilities with mediocre service. Seldom will you encounter an excellent, well cared for facility given to superb service. Thank you to the staff and team of Sky Lake. Great Job!
