Nonprofit YMCA in Yreka offering youth summer enrichment camps that emphasize problem-solving, teamwork, self-confidence and creativity. One summer program runs weekly and is free to youth ages 8-14 living within the City of Yreka, and the Y also organizes affordable whitewater rafting trips for families and groups. Founded in 1993.

Aside from the health benefits, I use the Yreka Y as a base to other facilities travel when I am on the road; showers, rest stop and usually coffee and of course a chance to stretch my legs on the elliptical or treadmill. As I get older, I am more and more grateful for this benefit and enhancement to my "freedom of the road".
