Singing Creek Educational Center
Private
Singing Creek Educational Center is a nonprofit living-history and nature program in the Cottage Grove area offering themed summer day camps such as pioneer homesteading, Lewis and Clark, an Opal Whiteley nature fairy camp, and an Earth Ways Indigenous camp. Programs teach local Kalapuya, Oregon Trail, and fur-trade history through hands-on activities, generally for children ages 6-10.

We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Singing Creek Educational Center directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleI worked with Karen, the owner, teaching children about The Oregon Trail. Lewis and Clark. The Westward migration. The Native Indian. So much history buried in dust until you trip and...boom. Connection to so many things and so many adventures to be told, and heard! My son, Mikey, charter schooled at home in 2018 and went with me as a field trip when we had our different groups of beautiful children, and their parents, to teach them all about the Pioneers. My son Michael and I miss each other and being a regular routine with all of those beautiful hidden treasures of smiles around any corner. Girl Scout badges can be earned in the summer also!
Great educational experience for kids.
