Not as nice as I expected. One-room functional space; bare bones. Decent deck up and patio down, both with picnic tables. Restrooms are across the parking lot.

As paid member of the Shawnee Yacht Club you can store your boat there during the Season making it easier to enjoy the lake with the convenience of having your boat at the Yacht Club. The facility is maintained by Shawnee County Parks and Rec.

Daughter and I are learning how to fish and this is where Grampa went to first. I just enjoy being out in nature and by the water. Very calming to me. the moss was a little too much where we were though, you had to cast pretty far out to get by all that but then drug in hook full it of it.

Its my go to chill spot the have picnic tables a couple boat docks and a boat ramp nice area to pull up and eat lunch. A shelter house thats just perfect and great for big partys of all kinds. Great views of the lake and back side views of the golf coarse... i will seriously recommend visiting this if you have time. Its right next to the flower gardens and geese and ducks and wild life everywhere

Young or old... Anyone can enjoy sailing with SYC. They have sailing lessons and races every Wednesday, races on Sunday and a few times a month, special events. Its a great place if your currently a sailor or would like to learn.
