Camp changed my life forever. Never before have I had the pleasure of working with such devoted believers and people who are sacrificing so much just to make one week of fun for these children. I’ve witnessed little kids make and eat s’mores for the first time, taught a little boy how to play with LEGOs, and helped a little girl pick out the first beautiful dress she’s ever owned. I’m going to keep volunteering until I’m a grandparent.

It's just cruel that you require that volunteers MUST be committed Christians. A lot of us have religious trauma, but experience being foster kids and can understand what these kids are going through. I really wanted to help from a perspective of someone who knows what it feels like, but apparently you're not good enough if you're a different religion. You're cutting these kids off from good people who are just a little different from you that have a lot of love and care they could offer.
