SHADES of Development
Private
SHADES of Development is a Knoxville nonprofit that has run out-of-school-time programs for PreK through 8th graders for more than 30 years, based at 6701 West Emory Road. Its summer camp runs nine weeks for campers ages 5-13, who can enroll for a single week or the whole summer, and is held in school-based sites around Knox County including Fort Sanders and Karns. Weeks are built on an adventure-learning approach, with guest instructors, team challenges, theme parties, camper performances, family events and field trips.
