Scottsdale Artists' School runs week-long Youth Academy fine-art summer camps for ages 6–18, grouped by age (6–8 and 9–14+). Taught by professional artists for all skill levels, camps cover painting, drawing, 3D sculpting, anime, and recycled art. Camps run Monday–Friday, 9:00am–3:00pm, with optional before- and after-care.

They have such a wide selection of great Painters and every workshop has been a great experience, both in terms of the Painter and the other folks who are in the workshop, many of whom are out of state and who comes specifically to work with that instructor. It is a fabulous environment, and the staff is tremendous. If you are interested in representational Art, I do not believe there is a better place to learn. I’ve been going there for 35 years and my painting has progressed tremendously because of what I’ve learned. Instructors are among the greatest painters in the United States.

The lessons were detailed and supportive, with Mr Pursley's beautiful demos providing inspiration at the beginning of class.
