Powered by GoogleMy three kids had such a blast! It can be a real challenge to find a camp they all three love, the mix of justice/equity, exploration, imaginative play, and intense activity really met them each where they were most enthusiastic and that enthusiasm boiled over into the adjacent domains as well.
School of Wonder is a truly special program in Park Slope. The environment strikes that rare balance between creative exploration and thoughtful structure, which allows children to feel both supported and inspired. The staff are warm, attentive, and clearly experienced in meeting children where they are. What stands out most is their ability to cultivate curiosity—learning feels organic rather than forced, and the children are genuinely engaged. There is a strong emphasis on social-emotional development, collaboration, and confidence-building, which is invaluable. The setting itself is intimate and calm, and the programming feels intentional and well-designed. It’s the kind of place where children are not just cared for, but really seen. Highly recommend for families looking for a nurturing, creative, and developmentally thoughtful environment.
School of Wonder is a wonderful program that our kid says is favorite afterschool program for the last 2 years. He loves exploring prospect park with his thoughtful and creative teachers and the ability to be free in nature and away from screens is such a fantastic experience. Our son has grown a lot from being at wonder year round. Wonder has sparked so much curiosity, imagination and independence and a love of being outdoors in him. So grateful to have this program in our neighborhood!
Glad we tried this alternative after-school option for our kindergartener this fall. I loved knowing she was spending time outside, with her friends in a safe and fun environment. She loved the independence and "wildness" of the program. I would love to send her back over the spring or summer.
What a magical experience you’ve created for these kiddos. Our 8-y-o had a wonderful time on the Juneteenth day camp, painting, climbing trees, exploring, and adventuring. We were so happy to see that the spirit and lessons of Juneteenth were also centered. So grateful we found the School of Wonder!
