We were told multiple times that they would provide feedback and communication. Had to call 2 times and send 2 emails to get a response from the coach. This was a month after tryouts ended. The organization seems scattered and lacking in real leadership.
★Brent TaylorHow disappointing the Presidents' Day tournament was. I know the weather was crappy. I get it. But we spent $10,000 for our team to play one and a half games. It was ridiculous. This was for the U 19 boys. They were 250 coaches from colleges around the country there to watch them play. They did not get to play. I understand the younger teams got to play. Perhaps they should have had PK shootouts and the older teams given the chance to show recruiters our talents. At any case, it was a communication nightmare. Our 3rd game time was changed to a PK shoot out at the last minute. Our 4th game was also changed to a PK shoot out but the time was moved up several hours and we were never informed. We showed for our scheduled game and we were the only ones in the park. We had three people on our contact list. Two coaches and one manager. Nobody was contacted. Here is my biggest gripe. Thousands of dollars spent. Hundred of hours taken off work for parents. Hundreds of hours spent by boys reaching out to recruiters. All for nothing. Again, I understand the weather was bad. I just wish more consideration would have been given to the older teams who were there last tournament.
