Sault Tribe Youth Education runs the Youth Education and Activities (YEA) program for tribal youth, with a St. Ignace site based at LaSalle Middle School and a YEA summer program offered together with local schools. The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians also administers a Youth Development Fund that reimburses families up to $250 a year toward camps, classes, cultural trips, sports fees, music, dance and regalia, and runs a Summer Youth Employment program for Native American youth ages 14-24 across a seven-county service area.
