Santa Cruz Yacht Club runs a junior sailing program on Monterey Bay, including a Junior Summer Program in which campers learn the fundamentals of sailing and build confidence, independence and teamwork. The year-round program emphasizes safety and seamanship alongside racing, day sailing and cruising, and extends into scholastic and advanced tracks for middle and high school sailors. Junior membership in the club is open to ages 8 through 21.
