Sanctuary Glass Studio in downtown Shreveport, part of the nonprofit Sanctuary Arts School, runs a summer glass-art program for children ages 8–18. In this weekly two-hour session (Wednesdays 10:00am–12:00pm), kids work in the hot shop alongside glass artists to make their own glass artwork and tour the neighboring Agora Borealis art market.

This workshop is amazing! The instructors were amazing teachers and we all loved watching the process. We would go back and make more in a heartbeat!

Ryan was great and explained the whole process including safety. Ryan even mentioned how the studio is for local artists and helps childrens art programs. Being able to choose your glass item, colors, and participate in making it is an amazing process. They even have other beautiful glassware and art for sale. Will definitely do again. Highly recommend if you are in Shreveport area. One item of note: the crucible is hot even with A/C so recommend bringing own cold drinks. Also, you glass item has to cool overnight for pickup next day. But Sanctuary Studios will ship. Thank you Ryan.

Super late review but oh well. My wife and I did the glass blowing class it was awesome and fun! I also got them to make some speciality pieces out of my own glass. They did it and made me some awesome pieces! Have been very pleased and is a great time.
