Rowan Wild (Rowan Wildlife Adventures) is a Rowan County nature facility inside Dan Nicholas Park near Salisbury, home to native North Carolina animals including a bald eagle, red wolf, alligator and birds of prey. It runs weeklong summer camps for kids with tracks in outdoor/wilderness skills, an animal camp exploring NC wildlife, and a herpetology (reptiles and amphibians) session.

We did get to see an eagle today and lots of ducks and squirrels which my granddaughter loved. The place is clean and very well laid out. I can't wait to come back later in the season when it's warmer and everything is open. Really nice park.
★★★★★Tommy TaylorThis is a family event you need to come out early for, no later than 2pm. $1 admission for here and . 50¢ for the barn. Only a few animals in the bar. Staff member said they're not going to replace any animals until they die off to replace the barn. The barn seems nice but small.

Primary things to do include, viewable animals in their habitat, a very large playground, and an extremely nice walkway almost full circle around the lake! Cons: extremely packed on the weekends, not every animal we’re viewable. (Concession stand available here also, undetermined hours however.) Different activities also available periodically.
